One of the most beautiful parts of being a graphic designer is helping the people around us achieve their goals and dreams, both happy and sad. One of the clients of my previous agency passed away a few years ago after facing a battle with stomach cancer. His wife wanted to fulfill his dream of publishing the book he had been writing while simultaneously creating more awareness for that illness. I worked one-on-one with her to launch her website in time for Stomach Cancer Awareness Month, promote the book launch, coordinate ticketing for the event, and to teach her how to use her website. The result of these efforts raised both awareness and donations for people who suffer this diagnosis and their families.
